The handbag has been constructed entirely by hand, utilising ancient leather-craft techniques. Panels of leather are cut by hand from a paper pattern, and then connected by saddle stitching, where artisans use two blunt needles to stitch everything together by hand. Exposed leather edges are then painted by hand to seal and protect the leather. This provides for superior durability and beauty, as artisans are not rushed and ensure each step is completed to perfection. 

Niloticus crocodile leather comes from the Nile crocodile, a species native to Africa, and is one of the most coveted exotic skins in luxury fashion. It is prized for its glossy, almost jewel-like finish and its symmetrical, rectangular scale pattern, which gives handbags a sleek and refined appearance. Unlike Porosus crocodile (which has smaller, tighter scales), Niloticus has slightly larger and more defined scales, creating a bold and distinctive texture. The leather is exceptionally strong yet supple, making it ideal for structured bags that retain their shape while still feeling luxurious to the touch. Because flawless hides are rare—free of scars, blemishes, or irregularities—only a small percentage are suitable for high-end production. This scarcity, combined with the painstaking tanning and dyeing required to bring out its depth of color and shine, makes Niloticus crocodile leather one of the ultimate symbols of exclusivity in luxury handbags.
